‘Are You Happy Now’ – World Premiere

The “Are You Happy Now” video premiere day has finally come! I may or may not have already dorked out and scrolled through some of teen.com comment board under the video and what I saw brought tears to my eyes! The entire time I prepped for this video with Megan and Liz, I kept telling the girls that all the hard emotional work I was having them do would pay off once everyone got to see this video. It is difficult for anyone to expose their vulnerable side to the public, nevermind in front of the whole world on camera like Meg and Liz had the courage to do here, so many thanks to everyone who responded warmly so far on teen.com… your words justified everything that went into its creation from its original conception in my mind and for that, I am eternally grateful.

The news has already been broken on www.teen.com that I recently directed a music video for youtube pop sensations Megan and Liz and indeed it is true! The girls are uber talented and when I was approached to submit a video treatment for their song “Are You Happy Now” with a central theme of anti-bullying, I was immediately inspired and wrote a story they responded to… the rest is history!

When the girls arrived we all had a lot on our plates. With their endless song and video shoots and my hectic 90210 schedule, the whole thing seemed nearly impossible to pull off. Fortunately for me, I had a crew who inspired and motivated me, on top of the contagious charisma of Megan and Liz, and I quickly remembered with the right attitude and determination, anything is possible.
