My Chloe ‘Susanna’ Booties Make Their Debut

I am beyond thrilled to announce the debut of my new Chloe ‘Susanna’ booties!!!

These much sought-after masterpieces originally launch in 2008 but were recently re-released for a limited time only and my mom uber-treated me and got her hands on a pair! They are so unique and special and work with literally ANY outfit.  From a great black dress and leather jacket for a night on the town to this casual ripped shorts and sweater for a daytime bike ride, these boots will top off many a look. This definitely marks the most exciting addition to my wardrobe in 2012, if not my entire life! THANKS MAMA!!!

I Can’t Wait!

Stop the presses! I apologize in advance for the total girl moment I’m about to have but…OMG! The lovely ladies of Wildfox Couture are doing a small capsule collection for Jeffrey Campbell…can this be real? It’s true kids, and there’s something for everyone.  Leave it to the Wildfox girls to touch on a million unique styles, trends and inspirations and narrow it down to just four pairs.  Each vastly different but strangely complimentary and of course doused in Wildfox flair…I must get my hands on this entire capsule of sky-high perfection immediately.  Available at selected stores in February 2012, they’re sure to go fast so keep your eyes and ears open for the release on ilovewildfox.com!

I had the great fortune of being welcomed into Pamela Love’s offices today to finally indulge in some of the past collections I’ve admired online and in magazine pages since the line launched in 2007.  I’ve been a big fan since her debut collection and am always inspired by her unique and quintessentially rock’n'roll approach to jewelry design.  A tomboy at heart, I’ve always struggled to identify with the pretty gems and delicate fixtures typically used by designers.  Love makes bold statements through her art that most mainstream jewelry designers wouldn’t dare and I believe that’s why her pieces have become new-age classic essentials for young fashion-lovers in the scene.  One glance around the endless inspiration photos and dreamcatchers adorning the walls of her office and I felt right at home.  This effortlessly beautiful hippie chick is certainly a talented craftswoman but its her magnetic essence radiating through her work that makes her pieces must-haves and inspiration for many fashion admirers and designers alike.

Just Because …

Because I’ll always love the Olsens…from sing-along videotapes to whimsical witch-inspired digs.
Because I’ll always love fur…faux fur, calm down PETA… I mean, I am Canadian, so appreciation for fuzzy fashion is sort of a part of my heritage, no?
Because I’ll always love little girls in clothes too big for their bodies… it’s just like our dreams; over-sized  to some but to us, just right.

I apologize for my being MIA from the blog recently but with just cause, I swear!  I had the pleasure of returning home for ten days and was soaking up everything and everyone in Toronto as much as physically possibly while there!!  Amidst traipsing around the charmingly grungy bar scene at night with old friends and spending quality time with my amazing family, I managed to squeeze in some local events that happened to coincide with my dates in town.  From Alternative Fashion Week (aka FAT), to Hot Docs to ‘Unsigned’ Indie Music Series, the culture and entertainment seemed never-ending and I’m here to fill you guys in so please forgive the tardiness!! :) Told ya I had a good reason…
