I never get excited for awards season. Unless you’re there in the flesh, they just don’t seem like too much fun. To draw maybe 10 awards total out over a three hour period seems pretty indulgent and extravagant for my taste…oh, and dull… not to mention that black tie dress code usually translates to just boring.
If you’re a dude, your biggest option is a skinny versus a regular tie, and if you’re a chick, ya pick a color ya hope nobody else has yet and cover yourself in it from head to toe. The colorful floor length gown has always seemed very eighth grade prom to me, but apparently I’m not much of a lady, so what do I know?
Either way, I’m getting older and if I wanna hold my own on those carpets one day, I gotta look the part so I decided to give this awards season round-up a closer look and tell ya what worked for me… and what was still just boring.
