Skinny jeans get a global-inspired look with patterns that borrow inspiration from South American textiles. I love the ankle-length cut of these jeans because they look so chic when paired with heeled strappy sandals. Finish off the look with a classic tee, blazer and a messy low bun and you have the perfect look for a day of shopping and lunch with friends.
Alexander Wang is officially the new top designer at Balenciaga! He will be taking the place of Nicolas Ghesquiere, who was the head designer for 15 years. He will be designing women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections. “I am deeply honoured to embark on this new role for a brand and house that I have such great admiration and respect for,” shared Wang. Can’t wait to see the chic, modern vision that he will bring to the fashion brand!
It is finally here! Check out all the hard work that Josh has put into this amazing collection and online store that officially opened today. Cut & Run London is a collaboration between Josh Beech and Dean Richardson and features looks that combine the laid back LA vibe and hipster London scene. It’s perfect for wintertime because of the muted palette of white, grey, navy and black. As you know I got the chance to shoot the campaign and now you can view the entire lookbook with the pictures I shot for the collection. Click on the main photo to view the rest of the images. What do you guys think of the collection?
Denim jackets were huge during the summer and it looks like they are making a comeback this winter season. This time the look is getting a role reversal! I love wearing my denim jacket underneath either a motorcycle jacket or bold winter coat like the looks above. Pair it with a pencil skirt and top it off with oxfords or heeled knee-length boots to pull the look together.
Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving yesterday! The day after Thanksgiving can be pretty crazy with Black Friday shopping and recuperating after the feast you had the day before. To help you get inspired for fashion Friday, here is my after Thanksgiving outfit. I’m all about pairing basics with one statement piece. For this look, I chose a bold blazer. The metallic fall-inspired blazer works perfectly when paired with leather pants and a basic black long-sleeve tee. Finish the look off with black patent leather pointy-toe heels and a classic black purse with gold details. What do you think?
Throwing on a statement accessory can really take any look to the next level. Pair your favorite vintage tee or button-down with a chunky necklace to give your outfit a glamorous feel. You can find some great pieces at an antique jewelry store and layer them to create a look that is all your own.
I love these shoes from Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2013 runway show! The two-toned monk-strap brogues, which were designed by Manolo Blahnik, are a nod to the mod trend that seems to be reemerging. Whether worn with a little black dress or high-waisted cropped trousers, these shoes are a definite must this season. What do you think of them?
