Everyone always asks me what wardrobe items they need in order to get a good rocker chic look. I put together a couple of options for you here, so you guys can get a sense of what to look out for. I admit, some of these items are on the higher end of the price spectrum, but they’re all definitely great investment wardrobe staples!
Every now and then a little rain must fall! Started to drizzle right before I left the door, so I threw on my camel trench coat. Luckily, the color is muted enough to essentially go with anything. Topped off the look with nude pumps and of course, my classic Chanel quilted bag.
So in love with this perfect weather we’ve been having in NYC lately! For a day in the park with friends, I threw on a black blousy tank with a high wasted floral vintage skirt. Paired the outfit with cork peep toe wedges and a structured vintage chestnut bag. Keeping the look warm yet simple, I topped off the look with a single gold necklace.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, every girl needs a good floral pantsuit! It’s just the perfect easy way to look pulled together. For a quick lunch in the village, I threw on this vintage pantsuit that cinches at the waist with my Jeffrey Campbell wedges. Accessorized with a Pamela Love arrowhead ring and a structured vintage bag I found at the Melrose/Fairfax Trading post. What do you guys think?
I’d admired Louboutins from afar walking many a red-carpet but it took me years to indulge in a pair myself and I wanted something classic but unique. The sexy-sleek shape of this peep-toe pump really makes you understand why Louboutin is at the top of its game and I’m all about cork shoes for spring/summer so I must say, I’ve been very happy with my investment! To quote Carrie Bradshaw…’I like to keep my money where I can see it, hanging in my closet.’
Being as busy as I am, I sometimes don’t have time to go home and change. When an outfit can move seamlessly from day to night its most definitely a lifesaver! Wore this sheer black top, black booties and metallic shorts to a late lunch then headed uptown for an event. Luckily, my outfit was appropriate for both occasions! What do you guys think?
On boxing-day last winter, I was shopping with my mom in Toronto and stumbled upon this exquisite store tucked away in the Hazelton Lanes plaza in Yorkville. When I was sifting through the amazing gowns, I spotted a couple of Alexander McQueen accessories and immediately asked if they carried any of his dresses. The store owner pointed me to the back room where I saw, and OBVIOUSLY tried on, this amazing Jacquard knit dress. Unfortunately, this one area was not a part of the 50% off sale and there was no way I could spend my rent on a single dress… but boy, I thought long and hard about it.
