Blazin’ in Floral

Shenae Grimes Gypsy Junkies Floral Blazer

Blazers can pull any look together. While some think that florals are just for summer I think this piece shows how the trend can continue into fall. This Gypsy Junkies floral print blazer is a wardrobe staple because it offers the perfect fall color scheme — oranges, greens, and deep blues. I’d pair it with a basic tee or a black and white horizontal stripped sweater with charcoal cigarette jeans for cooler days.

1950’s Twist

Shenae Grimes 1950s Polka Dot Twist

I took this edgy 1950’s-inspired cropped blouse and paired it with a leather a-line skirt. The summer leather trend is one of my favorites because it can be worn with so many different looks. Red lipstick adds a pop of color to this monochromatic look and the wooden heels bring a modern touch to ruffled t-strapped pumps.

Crown of Roses…

Shenae Grimes Fall 2012 Trend Floral Headpieces

I love floral headpieces for adding a romantic yet delicate touch to tousled hair. The hippie-esque trend looks great when placed on top of a messy bun or woven around long wavy curls. My dear pal Pamela Love wore a beautiful one on her wedding day and it looked so sophisticated and elegant with her classic white gown. These detailed headpieces get a fall revival when paired with a mid-length peasant dress and studded motorcycle boots.

Boyish Charm…

Shenae Grimes Burberry Burgundy Polished Leather Monk Shoes

I’ve been seeing lots of menswear looks for women for fall and these polished leather monk shoes are following in the right footsteps. Burberry’s burgundy monk shoes are boyish-cool when paired with rolled up boyfriend jeans for a day of shopping and lunch with friends.

The Anti-Blues…

Shenae Grimes Anti-Blues Look

My New Year’s resolution for incorporating more color into my wardrobe is being put into action a little late this year but a new perspective has given me new inspiration for a new palette at last! First addition is this bright, bold, blue cropped jacket; a great finishing touch for any basic tee and denim look. I’m always a sucker for a fun jacket and this one adds a pop that’s sure to catch glances on the most casual of days.

Shoe Of The Week: Patterned Giuseppe Zanotti Pumps

Shenae Grimes Giuseppe Zanotti Pumps

Whenever I need a little height and flair, I definitely resort to these patterned Giuseppe Zanotti pumps. They’re the perfect way to add a little zhuzh to any evening outfit, and despite the height, are surprisingly comfortable. One of my wardrobe favorites for sure.

Boho Chic with Lace and Floral

Shenae Grimes Lace Crop Top Floral

For a late lunch with some old friends, I decided to keep things casual and pair this white lace crop top with a high waisted floral skirt. I topped off the look with my black Rebecca Minkoff bag.

What do you guys think?
