Charlotte Ronson always has an upbeat who's-who crowd - a perfect way to kick off my fashion week. Bumping into a million familiar, fashionable faces was a great reminder of what a treat it was to be back in my element again. Ronson's own personal boho style has become a trademark of sorts that's reflected in her vintage-inspired, casual cool collections and this season was one of my favorites. Flower power and '90s grunge were alive and kicking in socks and sandals strutting down the runway. Long printed dresses and rompers in flowing fabrics gave '60s classics a sexy, modern fit. Proportioned panels proved against all odds that sheer can, in fact, be done right! This collection was a fun and feminine take on favorites from our tree-hugging, Cobain-loving predecessors…not to mention, I think Brenda and Kelly would be proud. I ran backstage to congratulate Charlotte, but quickly had to whip off my jacket and the 2 right-footed Ronson boots the publicist had accidentally sent over in exchange for a different leather and my new YSL pumps (thanks Mom!!).
