Fashion Find: Anine Bing’s Badass Chic

Shenae Grimes - Latest Obsession Anine Bing

My new favorite designer of the moment is Anine Bing. They debuted last year and they embody my style of casual tomboy chic. I’ll take a well tailored edgy leather jacket or leather pants over a girls dress any day or occasion, so walking into their showroom, I was like a kid in a candy store. Their whole team is intimate and so friendly and learning about this brand has been my most exciting recent fashion find.

Fausto Puglisi’s Polished Punk Revival

Shenae Grimes Fausto Puglisi Spring Collection Paris

Fausto Puglisi’s collection is my latest obsession. I love his rich prints and the punk-inspired leather and plaid outfits. He mixes bold embellishments with metal embroidery and bejeweled iconography. With careful attention to chic shapes, Puglisi’s looks are definitely on my must-have list.

17th Century Parisian

Shenae Grimes Jenny Packham Fall 2013 Ready to Wear

I saw Jenny Packham’s collection firsthand in Jenny’s studio and my mind was blown! You truly cannot understand the intricacy of the hand-woven bead work on each and every garment unless you see it up close and I felt so honored to be walked through it all by Jenny herself! Heavily vintage inspired, with a 17th century Parisian-salon theme that quickly evolved into a wide-range of formal and ready-to-wear works of magic.

Shenae Grimes NYFW Notable Collections

Watch out for the following collections to be seen on the red carpet this season!

Zac Posen: Stunning red-carpet glam as always! Inspired by debutantes and duchesses, these looks were definitely fit for a modern-day queen. And my fav little lovely, Coco Rocha, closed the show beautifully once again!
Donna Karan: Neutral tones, peekaboo paneled fabrication and asymmetrical cuts were a stunning update on fall classics. I’ll take one of everything please and thanks!
Monique Lhuillier: Breathtaking gowns as always, intricate details that fall just right in all the right places. Sure to be a red carpet favorite for this season.

Sleek and Chic

Shenae Grimes NYFW Menswear Chic

More NYFW notable collections. Theysken’s Theory played it safe but incredibly sharp, menswear-inspired tailoring and a simple palette of blacks, whites, and grey’s are always safe bets for me! Victoria Beckham’s collection was sleek, chic and utterly Mrs. Beckham… need I say more? Stay tuned for more of my favorites!
