Q. From Damariis: hey shenae!!! thank u so much for giving such a good example you are definitely a role model for us teen girls :D so i was wondering which are your favorite fashion blogs…i really love ur style and was looking for some inspiration (besides your blog obviously !!!!)
lots of love from mexico!!!

A. Hey! My three favorite fashion inspiration blogs are I Love Wildfox, Knightcat and Studded Hearts. Wake up and check them every morning with my first coffee of the day to get it started right! Hope you enjoy em as much as I do! Thanks for the love.. xx

Q. From Sarah: Hi! You’re definitely one of my fashion icons and I look forward to 90210 every week mostly to see your amazing outfits! I was wondering if you’d ever consider a clothing line or any other fashion ventures – I’d certainly love to buy clothes inspired by your unique dress sense (I love pretty much every outfit you wear). Lots of love from London! Xo

A. Hi Sarah! I would possibly consider a collection wayyy down the line but it’s not really my priority at the moment. Right now I’m just trying to learn as much as I can in as many fields in fashion as I can meander my way through. Getting my first taste of design at my current internship with What Goes Around Comes Around here in NY actually! I’ve been shadowing and collaborating with the amazing owners Seth and Gerard while they design their Spring 2013 collection so stay tuned for that. Also, am working on a few guest spots on fashion-oriented TV shows and hoping to continue freelance writing for blogs and magazines that I’m passionate about. :) xx

Q. From Breanne: I’m a big fan as a fellow Canadian, you are one of my fav style icons (which I think is important to have, and its great to see more CND’s making it)! I am hoping to plan a trip to the big apple for my bday and I’m hoping you could recommend some amazing shops to visit. I love vintage & flea markets the two just go hand in hand for the perfect fashion adventure on the weekend. So hope you can help me plan my shopping trip as a Canadian looking to go to the NY its crazy the amount of shops that have drool worthy items. Hoping to snag a few gooders similar to your style!

A. Hey Breanne! Happy early birthday! And I cannot think of a better way for you to spend it than a trip to New York City so great call! Be sure to check out What Goes Around Comes Around’s original shop in Soho for some amazing rare finds, the perfect shop for a birthday splurge! Also, swing by their new pop-up sample store in Williamsburg if you can, the prices are incredible and it’s full of overstock from past years! If you do make it to Brooklyn, the flea market nearby is a great way to spend a weekend afternoon and there’s a great little flea in the East Village that’s a fun quick peruse and sure to serve ya well for some odds and ends. While in the East Village, be sure to take a jaunt down 9th street, there are a bunch of great thrift shops lining the sidewalks! :) Hope that helps! xx

Q. From Airbourne: Hi Shenae! I absolutely love and adore your character Annie on 90210! I also loved Darcy on Degrassi. You are so inspirational and you are a phenomenal actress. I would love to know exactly how you broke into the acting industry and how you made your dream come true. I’m a huge fan and completely adore your style. I would also like to know where you shop and where I would be able to obtain a style like yours. Please respond (:

A. Hey there! First off, thank you so much for your kind words, makes it all worthwhile hearing that kind of love and support! As far as how I broke into the industry, I just got an agent like everyone else and persevered through a whole lot of rejection before landing the pivotal parts that have made my career. I was always a precocious, creative kid so it seemed like a fitting path for me but ya never know how it’ll go until you try and more often than not, it truly is luck of the draw! Style on the other hand just comes from within, you can find great pieces absolutely anywhere, just trust your gut when something catches your eye and never be afraid to stand out in a crowd! xx

Q. From Annabel: i love 90210 especially you ,and your style. Was wonder after filming or when you have finished a season , do you keep in contact or are close friendst with any of the other cast members , lots of love annabel xx

A. My cast has truly become a second family to me and it’s full of such unique individuals who I love and admire for very different reasons. Unfortunately, over our hiatuses we all get super busy doing very different things in all sorts of different parts of the world so it can be difficult to keep in constant touch. Jessica Stroup has been my soul sister from day one so we make sure to keep each other in the loop when we can. In fact, she just stayed with me for a weekend at my apartment in NY and we had a great time! I always so look forward to getting back to work for a new season to hear all the adventures everyone got up to in their time off! xx

Hey gurrrrrrl! You are so inspiring through fashion and an icon to young women in our generation. I like the art you see in fashion among other things. Concerning your other interests of art, I wondering: what is your favorite book(s), author, musician(s), painter/artist, and films.

Hey, Shenae. So, at the risk of sounding like a weirdo, here I go… About a year ago (or so) I met Trevor D. here in Barcelona, Spain, just by mere coincidence! I remember never really wanting to ask him about the show too much, or anything related, so I wouldn’t come off the wrong way. But I remember he said I reminded him of you, and I thought that was a great compliment because I’ve always admired you and everything you manage to do, basically with the same age I have. So, bottom line is that I really enjoy your acting, blogging, insight. I wish you the best of luck with your goals and try to have a somewhat “relaxed” hiatus. And if you’re ever around Barcelona, I’d be more than glad to send you info on places you’d probably really fall for. I apologize for not having an actual concrete question, but mainly I just wanted to say what was on my mind, plus, by reading your Q&A’s I already got the main questions down. I hope you get the time to read this and that I don’t sound as crazy as I think I do. Have a great memorial weekend.

Every season on 90210 the fashion seems to change. What season did you like the best as regards to fashion. I liked the first season because it seemed more realistic to what teenagers wear.

Hi Shenae, Your name is so pretty ! I love this blog so much, not just for the fashion but for the way you show the real you, you wont catch many actors/stars/celebrities answering fans questions and thats what makes you a cut above the rest. What keeps you grounded to the real you, because i think you are an amazing person who is dedicated to her fan, fashion and work ! ( it must get tiring )

p.s our style is so similar so its nice to get little tips to keep it fresh

    Lots of Love

It sounds like Ben Woodside got a LOT of naiotnal coverage from last Friday’s game. He scored 37 points against the team that was ranked number 9 in the nation, and it appeared to me like he wasn’t even playing at top form. I think it’s a fair shake to say that he’ll end up playing as a backup for at least a few years in the NBA. He amazes me how quickly he is off the dribble. He reminds me a lot of John Stockton in that sense. However, in the games I watched NDSU play this year, the one aspect that Woodside has to improve upon to have any success in the NBA is to be able to find the open man when he drives inside and draws a double team. Instead, I saw him go to the hoop completely out of control a lot this year, and his shooting percentage in situations where he is going to the hoop out of control is not very good. It’s a lot of fun watching the guy play, but I’m pretty certain that he’s not going to make it in the NBA as a scoring threat.
